What the Assistant is
StatusDeck Assistant is a focused Jira delivery assistant embedded in the app. It uses deterministic intent handling, Jira entity/context resolution and targeted Jira retrieval. It does not rely on an external LLM/API for its normal answer generation.
Question areas
- Sprint health, completion and commitment versus delivery
- Burndown, scope movement, carry-over and predictability
- Risks, overdue work, defects, blockers and workload
- Status, work-item type and priority distributions
- Estimates and unestimated work
- Velocity and throughput
- Future Sprint/context follow-ups where supported by the current Jira context
Analysis modes
| Mode | Use |
|---|---|
| Instant | Default mode for fast, bounded analysis. |
| Medium | Allows deeper but still bounded analysis. |
| High | Allows the deepest supported bounded analysis for the request. |
Higher modes do not mean “fetch everything”; StatusDeck continues to retrieve Jira data according to the recognised intent and context.
Conversation context
The assistant normalises input, handles small talk, resolves conversational references, identifies Jira entities and preserves session context for follow-up questions. Answers are constrained by the Jira data the current user is authorised to access.
