Generate a Sprint report
- Open StatusDeck.
- Select the Jira project.
- Select the Scrum board and sprint.
- Choose whether subtasks should be included where the control is available.
- Review or override the estimation basis in Configuration when needed.
- Generate the report.
Sprint report sections
The Sprint report combines executive interpretation with drill-down evidence. Depending on Jira data and configured visibility, the report can include:
- Executive Briefing / Executive Summary
- Management Commentary
- Sprint Health and core delivery KPIs
- Risk profile and delivery risk
- Scope health, Sprint Scope History and scope movement
- Work distribution, workload and capacity signals
- Velocity and throughput context
- Return to Green guidance
- Acceptance Criteria coverage
- Effort estimates and variance
- Sprint Burndown
- Status, work-item type and priority distributions
- Traceability & Quality Evidence
- Detailed work-item evidence
- Next-sprint / outlook signals when available
- Custom Jira Insights configured for the Sprint context
Management Commentary
StatusDeck generates an executive interpretation from authorised Jira data. The commentary editor supports three working states:
- Generated — StatusDeck’s current generated narrative.
- Draft — a user-edited working version saved in Atlassian-hosted Forge storage for that reporting context.
- Published — the approved commentary version used for sharing/export where applicable.
Users can edit the text, Save Draft, Publish, or Restore Generated.
Report layout and visibility
StatusDeck supports movable report sections/cards. Users can arrange the report for their audience and configure native KPI visibility. Layout controls themselves are excluded from exported report content.
Export or publish
Open Export / Publish and choose either:
- Download — generate PowerPoint (.pptx) or PDF (.pdf) in the browser and download it to the current device.
- Publish to Confluence — select an accessible space and parent page, then create or update a report page with native report content plus PDF and PowerPoint attachments.

Refresh and caching
Jira remains the source of truth. StatusDeck may reuse short-lived Forge-hosted report caches to reduce repeated Jira API work. Active Sprint reports are normally cached for up to 5 minutes; closed Sprint reports can be cached for up to 1 hour. Oversized report results may skip caching and are generated fresh instead.
