Usage limits and fair use

Limits that protect performance, availability and equitable use of StatusDeck.

StatusDeck for Jira Cloud Last updated: 12 July 2026

Why limits exist

StatusDeck applies hourly and daily controls to report generation, PowerPoint exports and PDF exports. These controls protect Jira and Forge resources, reduce accidental repeated requests and prevent abusive automated use.

How counters work

A small Forge KVS record is maintained per user. The record stores current hour/day keys and operation counts. The same record is overwritten as counters reset. Repeated activity by one user does not create an ever-growing history of counter records.

Enforcement

When a limit is reached, StatusDeck may temporarily block the relevant operation and display the applicable hourly or daily limit message. Access resumes when the corresponding time window resets.

Prohibited use

  • Automated bulk generation outside normal product workflows
  • Attempts to bypass limits or licensing
  • Load testing without written permission
  • Use that disrupts Jira, Forge or other customers
  • Use for unlawful or unauthorised data access

Changes to limits

QTI Labs may adjust limits based on product tier, platform capacity, abuse patterns, Atlassian requirements or customer needs. Material changes will be documented.
