Installation & getting started

Install StatusDeck and generate your first Sprint or Project/Program report.

Before installation

  • A Jira Cloud site is required. Jira Server and Jira Data Center are not supported.
  • The installer needs permission to install Marketplace apps.
  • Confluence is optional. It is required only when users want to publish StatusDeck reports to Confluence.
  • For Confluence publishing, the current user must be able to access the destination space/page and create or update content and attachments there.

Install from Atlassian Marketplace

  1. Sign in to the target Jira Cloud site as an administrator.
  2. Open Apps → Explore more apps.
  3. Search for StatusDeck or open the StatusDeck Marketplace listing.
  4. Review the listing, permissions, privacy information and pricing.
  5. Select the available trial/install action.
  6. Approve the requested Forge permissions.
  7. Wait for Atlassian to confirm installation.

Ways to open StatusDeck

The current Forge app provides multiple Jira entry points:

  • Jira Apps / global page — open the full StatusDeck reporting workspace.
  • Jira project page — open StatusDeck in the current project context.
  • Board action — open StatusDeck from a Scrum board.
  • Backlog action — open StatusDeck from the backlog.
  • Jira dashboard gadget — open StatusDeck from a Jira dashboard context.

Generate the first report

  1. Select the Jira project.
  2. Select a Scrum board and sprint for a Sprint report, or choose the all-boards Project/Program reporting context.
  3. Review Configuration if estimation or RAG thresholds need adjustment.
  4. Generate the report.
  5. Review the executive summary, Management Commentary and detailed sections.
  6. Use Export / Publish to download PDF/PowerPoint or publish to Confluence.

Permission changes

If a future release introduces a new Forge scope, Atlassian may require an administrator to approve the updated permissions before the related capability can be used.

Uninstall

  1. Open Jira administration and go to Manage apps.
  2. Locate StatusDeck.
  3. Select Uninstall.
